“Stu” McDowell Age 75 of Evergreen Park, IL, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022 at Hines VA Medical Center, with his wife and family by his side. Born July 20, 1947 in Alma, Michigan, Stu was a son of Walter and Ethel McDowell. He spent time living in Michigan and Montana before he moved to Illinois. He was a retired Electronics Engineer who worked on telephone systems. With his education and experience, you could count on him to fix almost anything!

He attended St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts and received his BS in Natural Sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Alessandro could accomplish anything he set his mind to and was always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed gardening, scuba diving, fishing, travel, photography, and most of all his pottery. Always a perfectionist, he would break any piece of pottery that he didn’t think was worthy to be called art. Always pursuing his passions, he worked as an arborist for his own business. He became a talented carpenter and photographer.
